Our Greeley office provides walk-in drive test appointments Monday through Friday, 9 AM to Noon, for $100 cash only. If you have already paid through your account and wish to do a walk-in, you will need to pay the difference to secure a walk-in spot.

Everyone will use our company vehicle to take the test. The test takes an average of 20 minutes. READ BELOW TO SEE WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:
- You must have a valid Colorado permit to take the test
- Pictures of your permit are NOT allowed.
- You may use the MyColorado App for proof of your permit.
16-18 years old:
- If you have not held your permit for one full year according to the issue date on your permit, you will not be able to test.
- Note: If you are under 16.5 years old and live within 30 miles of any driving school, you may pass the test, but the law will not allow you to get your license until you have also completed 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction with a certified instructor. You can sign up for the 6 hours BTW time HERE, or wait until you are 16.5 years old to take the test.

4 Hour Course (In-Person)
This course is the State of Colorado accredited 4 Hour Drivers Awareness Course.
If you choose to take the written permit test after completing the class you will need to bring to class a pre-registration code from the DVM. You can find the link to get the pre-registration code HERE.

This course consists of:
- 30 Hours of in-person instruction
- Permit Test*

Students who are within 30 days of their 15th birthday (or older) will take the written permit test during class.
Students who are younger will take a practice test instead. They may return to our office to take the permit test once they are age-eligible (appointment required) or take the test at the DMV.

Important Notice for Students Under 14 Years and 9 Months
Colorado law will soon require students to be at least 14 years and 9 months old on the first day of class to enroll in a driver’s education course.
Our standard online enrollment follows this requirement. However, if your student is younger and you would like to request an exception, please email our office before registering. In some situations, we may be able to manually enroll students who understand the timing requirements and potential risks.
We’re happy to answer your questions and help you determine the best enrollment date for your student.
Dear Parents- If your child wants their license before 16.5 years of age, they will also need 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction with one of our certified instructors. This course consists of:

The written permit test is required to have a permit issued by the DMV. Since you are not already a student of ours, you will need to bring:
- a picture ID or your old license.
- If you have never had a license, please pre-register on the DMV website and bring in your confirmation number.

Don’t Let Your Student Have to Retake Driver Education!
Please be aware that Colorado Driver Education courses do expire. If too much time passes before your student obtains their permit, they may be required to retake the entire 30-hour Driver Education course, even if they successfully completed it the first time.
Students who begin the course close to 14 years and 6 months of age are at the greatest risk, as they have less time before the course expiration becomes an issue.
Unfortunately, we’ve seen this happen, and we don’t want it to happen to your family.
If you’re unsure about your student’s timeline or have questions about when they should take the course, please contact our office before enrolling. We’re happy to explain the requirements and help you choose the best timing for your student.

Behind The Wheel Lessons
Behind-the-Wheel Only- Greeley
This course consists of:
- 3, 2-hour behind-the-wheel sessions with a certified instructor
- 1 Half Priced Drive Test
All teens who want to get their driver’s license before age 16 1/2 are required to have six hours of BTW training with a certified instructor.
Parents: To maximize the value of our driving lessons (to get the MOST out of your money), we recommend driving with your student for about six months and/or 10 hours minimum of BTW time before booking lessons with us. Once they’re comfortable with the basics, we can focus on more advanced skills for a more effective learning experience.
– All 6 hours of driving will be completed with the same instructor.

- It my take up to 24 hours to assign an instructor after enrollment. We appreciate your patience during this process as we carefully match each student with the best instructor available.
- Some instructors are booked 4-6 weeks out. If you need the driving finished within a month, please email info@anshordriving.com to check for earlier availability.
