INSTRUCTION |
Small and large group work, lectures, videos, and guest
speakers. Students will also receive instruction behind the
wheel. This consists of 30 classroom hours, 6 hours
on-the-street driving practice, and 6 in-car observation hours. |
|
SCORING |
This
non-credit course will be scored using "pass-fail." The
student's score will be based on in-class performance, including
tests, quizzes and daily work. |
CLASS
ATTENDANCE |
Attendance is mandatory for satisfactory completion. No food or
drink is allowed in the classroom or in the cars. |
DRIVING
ATTENDANCE |
Students must be dropped off and picked up at the school where
the course was taught. Instructors will arrange driving times
with students on an individual basis. We ask that students
notify the instructor of cancellations of scheduled driving
times at least 24 hours in advance. If the instructor is not
notified within that time frame, an additional $25.00 will be
charged. |
|
DRIVER PERMIT |
Students must be 15 years to obtain a driver's
permit. Permit tests are given the last day of the course
session to those who are, or who will turn 15 years old within
30 days of when the test is given. |
|
LICENSING |
Upon successful completion of the required course work
and on-the-street driving, students may take the Colorado State
driving exam with our driving instructors to complete their
license requirements. |
